Throughout the year the Clemson Alumni Club hosts a number of academic events for current and incoming Clemson students. For specific dates and more information, see the Events page calendar.
- Letter Writing Campaign - In collaboration with the Parent’s Council, NECC club members write letters to accepted students encouraging them to enroll at Clemson. It is an opportunity to share our own Clemson Experience.
- Brockton Public School College Fair
- Student Send-Off Picnic - This annual picnic is held to celebrate incoming freshman from New England weeks before they attend their first semester at Clemson. The student’s parents and families are also invited, and Club members answer any questions the students or family might have about attending school. The event also builds relationships between the new students and our Club.
- College Fairs - events held by high schools in our area which we attend to represent Clemson and answer any questions the high school students or their parents/families have about Clemson University. A multitude of other college representatives attend each fair as well. Clemson Admissions cannot attend every fair, so our Club attends for them.
Student Send-Off 2017
This past Sunday, the NECC hosted the 2017 Student Send-Off Picnic for incoming students starting Clemson University who are from our region. We had 7 students (+1 friend) and 8 parents/guardians attend, some commuting only 20-minutes while others commuted over 2-hours each way.View Event Pictures
